How this site makes money

When you book a tour through a link here, Inverness Scotland Tours may earn a commission from the booking platform, at no extra cost to you. You pay the operator’s own price; the commission comes out of their side of the transaction, not yours.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator, a railway, a ferry company or a visitor attraction. We do not employ the guides, own the vehicles, set the prices or hold your booking. Every tour listed here is sold and run by the company named on its own booking page, and their terms are the ones that apply.

Which platforms these links go to

The tours listed here are sold through Viator and GetYourGuide. Every link to either carries a tracking code identifying this site as the referrer, and every one is tagged as a sponsored link in the page source, which is what tells a search engine that money can change hands at the other end of it. Links to an attraction’s own website carry no tracking code and earn nothing.

Can an operator pay for a better position?

No. Nobody listed here has paid to appear, to appear higher, or to be described more warmly. The tours featured on the front page were chosen for spread — different directions, different price points, different operators — and the order of the rest follows what the listings say rather than what anyone paid.

Where the figures come from, and when

Prices, ratings, review counts, durations and inclusions were read from each tour’s own booking page on 13 September 2026, and they belong to the operators. They move. The figure on the booking page is always the one that counts, and it is the one you will pay.

Admission prices for the attractions themselves — Urquhart Castle, the Inverness Castle Experience, Eilean Donan, Cawdor, Dunrobin — come from those attractions’ own websites and are checked against them. One figure is deliberately absent everywhere: the Culloden Battlefield admission. The National Trust for Scotland’s own pages could not be read from here, and an unchecked number is worse than none at all.

What that means for you

Read the booking page before you pay. It carries the live price, the live availability and the cancellation terms, and if it disagrees with anything here, it is right and we are out of date — tell us and we will fix it.
